Create Windows 10 recovery disc

After you upgrade to Windows 10, you should create a recovery drive (USB or DVD). In this guide we see how to create the recovery DVD (also remember to retrieve the Product Key).

First, you have to download from Microsoft site the Media Creation Tool (32 or 64 bit depending on your Windows version).


Once you have saved on your PC the Media Creation Tool, open it by double-clicking on its icon (when the user account control window, click Yes).


In the window that opens, select Create installation media for another PC, and then click Next

Now from the dropdown menu, select Language, Edition (Home or Pro) and Architecture (32 or 64 bit), and then click Next.

Now you have to choose the media to use, in the case of this guide, select the ISO File and click Next.

Now we need to choose where to save the ISO File of Windows 10, I chose Desktop. Next click on Save.

Now we have to wait a little, until Windows 10 is downloaded to your Computer.

Once the download is complete, you are ready to burn the ISO File on DVD. To exit Media Creation Tool, click Finish (a window of "cleaning" will appear for a few seconds).

How to burn ISO Windows 10

Insert a blank DVD into the recorder.
Click with the right mouse button on the ISO File (Windows name) that you just downloaded and select Burn disc image.

Put the flag near Verify disc after burning and click Burn

Now you're burning the ISO File of Windows 10, wait for the end of the process.

Congratulations, you have now created the recovery disc for Windows 10 (also remember to retrieve the Windows 10 Product Key, that will be required when you need to reinstall your PC), click Close and remove the DVD from the burner and keep it safe.
