Reset Internet Explorer

Sometimes Internet Explorer does not work correctly for unexplained reasons. Maybe trying to open a PDF you see the message Internet Explorer has stopped working. To restore the proper functioning of your browser you have to "reset" it, and in this guide we see how to do it.

How to reset Internet Explorer

First, close all open Internet Explorer Windows.

Now click with the right mouse button on the START button and select Control Panel from the menu that pops up.

Now click on the voice Network and Internet.

and then on Internet Options.

In the Internet Properties window that opens, click the Advanced tab.

Now that we are on the Advanced tab, click the Restore advanced settings button and then click on Apply button. Now click the Reset button.

After pressing the Reset button will appear the window asking confirmation to Reset Internet Explorer Settings, click on the Reset button.

Upon completion a new message appears confirming that the reset is finished, click the Close button.

Well, now Internet Explorer should be back to work, trying to open it and start surfing the web.
